Art of Living Parents' Day was held on 6 April 2018 at DIU Permanent Campus

Daffodil International University in association with Friedrich Naumann Stiftung: Für die Frieheit and Bengal Practice Studio organized student’s project exhibition on “Urban Mobility: Design for Pedestrian” from May 08 at Gyantapas Abdur Razzaq Bidyapeeth.The two-day exhibition was initiated with a Seminar and the discussion topic concentrated on the traffic and pedestrian consideration in mass transit design.

The Department of Public Health organized a program entitled ‘Exit Interaction with ForeignStudents’, at the Conference Room of Daffodil Tower, DIU on 30 April, 2018.Dr. Harun-Ar-Rashid, Professor and Head of the Department of Public Health convened the program. Eighteen (18) foreign students of the 16th batch and all the faculty members of the Department attended the program. The program was organized with an objective to discuss the experiences of the foreign students during their participation in the MPH program.

Department of Pharmacy, Daffodil International University organized a seminar on "Research Learning Method: An Integral Part of Outcome Based Education”under Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)on 7th May,Wednesday, 2018, from 12:30 pm to 5:00 pm at Digital Class Room, 2nd Floor, Daffodil Tower. Dr. Sharif Mohammad Shaheen, Professor, Department of Pharmacy, DIU,was the key note speaker at the seminar.

As a private Higher Education Institute (HEI), Daffodil International University (DIU),in addition to its teaching practices is trying to develop its research agenda. As a Middle Income Country (MIC), Bangladesh has many areas where collection of research data would help the cause of development. Research would open the way to design research based solutions. DIU is taking initiatives to involve both its teachers and students in research on development issues – issues that would help the Government of Bangladesh (GoB) and institutes involved in development issues and projects. It would also give DIU students and teachers exposure to real-life research data, a research mind-set and an awareness of development issues.

Textile Engineering Department of Daffodil International University has been organized a workshop on ‘Development of Outcome Based Curriculum’ which was held on 14 May 2018 at 71 Milonayoton of Daffodil International University. Mr. Md. Siddiqur Rahman, President of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) was present at the workshop as chief guest while Mr. Engr. M S Zaman, Managing Director of Micro Fiber Group was present as special guest. Presided over by Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees of Daffodil International University, Professor Dr. Yousuf Mahbubul Islam, Vice Chancellor of DIU, Professor Dr. S M Mahbub Ul Haque Majumder, Pro Vice Chancellor of DIU, Dr. Md. Mahbubul Haque, Professor & Head, Department of Textile, Professor Dr. A. K. M. Fazlul Haque, Director of IQAC, Mr. Abu Taher Khan, Director of CDC and other industry leaders from garments sector were also present at the program.

Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Daffodil International University (DIU) in cooperation with the Board of Accreditation for Engineering and Technical Education (BAETE), Bangladesh organized a day-long on-site Training Programme on “Outcome-Based Education for Accreditation” on 10 May, 2018 at the Banquet hall of the University. Professor Dr. S.M. Mahbub-Ul-HaqueMajumder, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Daffodil International University graced the inaugural session of the training programme as Chief Guest while Professor Dr. A. K. M. FazlulHaque, Director-IQAC & Associate Dean-Faculty of Engineering of Daffodil International University chaired the session. Dr. Sk. Abdul Kader Arafin anchored the programme.

JENR is a peer-reviewed, open access journal that publishes articles in all areas of ecology and natural resources. The journal aims to provide a comprehensive representation and results of cutting-edge research in the fields of natural resources and ecology.
