Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh, Honorable Member of Parliament, Dhaka -10 of Bangladesh Parliament distributed Laptops among the students under “One Student-One Laptop” project of Daffodil International University on June 09, 2018.

‘Spreading Eid Happiness-2018’ 

Aiming to spread Eid happiness among under privileged children, a program titled ‘Spreading Eid Happiness-2018’ organized by Souhardo and cooperated by Daffodil Institute of Social Science (DISS) was held on 03 June 2018 at 71 Milonayoton.

Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University distributed Eid dress, Mehendi, Shemai and many other Eid foods among more than 200 under privileged children on that program as chief guest. Professor Dr. Yousuf Mahbubul Islam, Vice Chancellor of Daffodil International University, Dr. Touhid Bhuiyan, Head, Department of Software Engineering, Dr. Sheikh Rashed Haidar Nuri, Associate Professor, Department of CSE, Mr. Mahmudur Rahman, Faculty Member of Anwar Khan Modern Nursing College and Mr. A M Zobaer, Founder of Souhardo were also present there.
 

Students of the department of EEE established a non-profitable organization to help underprivileged children to spread happiness.

A seminar on ‘Social Awareness and Legal Rights: Gender Perspective’ organized by Complaint Committee to Prevent Sexual Harassment of Daffodil International University (DIU) on 02 June 2018 at 71 Milonayoton of the University. World Environment Day 2018 observed in DIU

With the theme “Beat Plastic Pollution” the department of Environmental Science and Disaster Management (ESDM) of Daffodil International University (DIU) observed ‘World Environment Day-2018’ on June 05, 2018. To mark the day department of Environmental Science and Disaster Management of DIU organized a Rally and Project Exhibition to create awareness about the restoration of Environment.

12th Anniversary of Department of Journalism and Mass Communication observed on 10 June 2018

Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management organized orientation program for newly enrolled students of Summer-2018 and Iftar Mahfil-2018 today on June 06, 2018 at Banquet Hall where the students of Food and Beverage Production prepared the iftar items, while Food & Beverage Management and Service courses student presented and deliver their service during the time of Iftar. At the time of preparing and presenting iftar the rules of Culinary arts strictly maintain by the students.

With a view to enhancing employability skills of DIU students, Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Honorable Chairman, BoT, Daffodil International University conducted an interactive session in association with the Department of Entrepreneurship and Skill Jobs, on “Future Career and YOU (Opportunities and Challenges)” on June 26, 2018 at its Auditorium 71 , where a houseful enthusiastic students were present. There he spoke about several ongoing necessity regarding the employability and how to ensure the requirement that need to have to make oneself employed and other several concerns.

Daffodil Start-Up Market

Office of the Director of Students' Affairs organized 10 day-long Eid –Ul- Fitr special Start-Up Market from 27 May to 06 June 2018 on Ground Floor of Daffodil Tower and in the Permanent Campus of the university. Start-Ups have brought various products including Cosmetics, dresses for women, Men’s clothes (Panjabi, Shirt, Pant, T-Shirt & Others), mobile accessories, electronic items, food items, jerseys of various football teams, Gift Items and many more. 
 
Activities of Clubs & Associations

All Stars Daffodil- a drama club of DIU performed a stage drama "Ural Ponkhi" at the BUET Milonayoton on 28 June 2018. Earlier they have got an invitation from "Kontho BUET". The drama was composed and directed by Ilias Nabi Faysal, a student of DIU.

Daffodil International University Air Rover Scout Group organized Scouts’ Own and 6th National COMDECA Camp Certificate Distribution Ceremony followed by Iftar Mahfil on 07 June, 2018 at Banquet Hall of the university. 

On 6th June 2018, members of DIU Change Together Club( DIUCTC) had distributed Iftar to the Rickshaw pullers in front of the University campus.

As a private Higher Education Institute (HEI), Daffodil International University is taking initiatives to involve both its teachers and students in research on development issues – issues that would help the Government of Bangladesh (GoB) and institutes involved in development issues and projects

The Department of Public Health has organized a Grand Lecture on "Planning Research for Thesis” for the Thesis Part Master of Public Health (MPH) students of 17th and 18th Batches on 02June 2018, Friday. Prof. Dr. Harun-Ar-Rashid, Professor and Head of the Department of Public Health delivered lecture on ‘Planning Research for Thesis”.
