‘19th IAGBT-KIRTI Biannual Conference and Research Symposium’ held today on 08 January 2018 at Daffodil International University. 51 presenters, including both international and domestic delegates from Bangladesh, China, Korea, Philippines and USA, has presented 27 scientific papers in the Conference.

A team of 5-member, led by Dr. Farid A. Sobhani, Professor of Department of Business Administration of Faculty of Business & Economics joined in Bangkok Annual Business and Social Science Conference during January 12-14, 2018 at Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand organized by Australian Academy of Business Leadership, Sydney, Australia. Daffodil International University was the Co-organizer of the aforesaid conference. A total of 27 papers were presented by participants from 22 universities of 8 different countries.

A 3-daylong 8th BELTA International Conference hosted by Independent University, Bangladesh was taken place at IUB from January 12-14. There were 3 parallel presentations, a workshop by faculty members of English department and a Feature Speech by Professor A M M Hamidur Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Ms. Rabeya Binte Habib, Senior Lecturer, English and Exectutive Committee Member, BELTA, is also working as a member of the Organising Committee at 8th BELTA International Conference.

Dr. Md. Sabur Khan , Honorable Chairman, Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University, has conducted a session titled "Integrated Marketing of Daffodil Family" held on January 16, 2018 at DIU Conference Room. All the Faculty Members and Students with Marketing Major were present at the session.

"Employability Skills for the 32 students from SIAS International University, China held on January 16, 2018 at Banquet Hall of the University. 

A special session titled 'Modern Journalism' for the students conducted by Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Honorable Chairman, BoT, DIU held on January 24, 2018 at Auditoriam-71 of Daffodil International University (DIU).

Daffodil International University (DIU) achieved the official membership of University Mobility in Asia and the Pacific (UMAP) from January 2018 to initiate different Multilateral Student Exchange Program, Bilateral Student Exchange Program, summer school and winter school participation, internship, research collaboration etc among the member institutions of UMAP.

Organized by the Department of Textile Engineering of Daffodil International University, a program titled ‘Preparing and Submission of Improvement Plan’ was held at Daffodil International University on 13 January, 2018. The program was held as a part of International Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC).

Department of Public Health under the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences (FAHS) of Daffodil International University (DIU) organized a seminar on ‘Open Day for Public Health International Program & Students recruitment’ on January 8, 2017 at Digital classroom of the university.

Department of Pharmacy, Daffodil International University (DIU) organized a workshop on “Sharing EPR report and preparing improvement plan of the Department of Pharmacy “on 14th January 2018(Sunday). 

The Self-Assessment Committee of the Real Estate Department of DIU organized the workshop on " Preparation and Submission of Improvement Plan of Real Estate Department" on 16 January 2018 at the Room No. 708 of Daffodil International University.

Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of Daffodil International University arranged a workshop on "SMART Learning Outcomes and Lesson Planning for EEE" on 4th January at Room 308 of main campus of DIU.

Skill Development Program for Support Staff organized by Human Resource Development Institute (HRDI) of Daffodil International University (DIU) held on January 20, 2018 at Digital Classroom of DIU.

Two day long BFF-Samakal Science Innovation Fair-2017-2018 ends on 23rd January 2018 at 71 Milonayoton of Daffodil International University. Mr. Mustafa Jabbar, Honorable Minister, Ministry of Post, Telecommunication & ICT was was present as the chief guest at the closing and award giving ceremony of the fair and distributed prizes among the winners.

Awareness Program On UGC Digital Library (UDL) was held at DIU permanent campus, Ashulia, Savar, Dhaka. Presided over by Professor Dr. Yousuf M. Islam, Vice Chancellor, DIU Professor Dr. Md. Akhter Hossain, Member, University Grants Commission of Bangladesh was present as the chief guest at the awareness program.

21st Syndicate Meeting of Daffodil International University was held today on January 06, 2018 at the Conference Room of the university’s Administrative Building. The meeting was presided over by the Chairman of the Syndicate and Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Dr. Yousuf M Islam.

The contingent of 32 students and officials of SIAS International University of China have visited  Daffodil International University in the capital to attend ‘DIU Winter Camp-2018’ from 14 to 20 January 2018.The team lead by Mr. Julian Yue, Director, International Affairs and Prof. Jany Lee, Professor of History, SIAS International University, China was given a warm reception at the Permanent Campus of DIU at Ashulia on 14 January 2018 after their arrival.

During the week long DIU Winter Camp, the students from SIAS International University exchanged some educational and cultural activities with DIU students. Beside this, they attended the session of Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees (DIU) titled "Employability Skills’’ and Professor Dr. Yousuf M. Islam, Vice Chancellor (DIU) has also conducted another session for the students of SIAS International University. As a part of their cross cultural activity, exploring Dhaka city and lifestyle, the team visited University of Dhaka, Curzon Hall, remarkable and historical places in nearby places. China students wonder of getting chance to take ride with Rickshaw as both passenger and puller as well. Apart from this the team visited excellent architectural excellence of Dhaka city, the National Parliament of Bangladesh.
