Parents' Day, Fall-2017

To strengthen the triangular relationship of parents, students and teachers, Daffodil International University (DIU) organized "Parents Day" under the course of 'Art of Living' that was held at DIU Permanent Campus on December 01, 2017.

Celebration of 46th Victory Day

Daffodil International University celebrated the 46th Victory Day. A colorful victory rally was brought out from the campus premises and singing national anthem with proper lyrics by the students, teachers and administrative employees of the university. Beside these the program was included poetry recitation, song, debate, dance and drama was staged by the DIU club members. Beside that University paid its debt of gratitude to the national heroes who laid down their lives for this noblest of the causes the Bangladesh have cherished placing wreaths at the National Memorial at Savar.

DIU ranked 153rd position in UI Greenmatric World University Rankings 2017

Daffodil International University (DIU) achieved 153rd position among 619 universities throughout the world. Earlier DIU was in 453rd position.

DIU Chairman has been conferred with Honorary Doctorate

Decided by the University Academic Council and subsequent approval by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Naryn State University named after Satybaldy Naamatov has awarded a Diploma and Honorary Doctorate degree to Mr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Daffodil International University (DIU) & Daffodil Family for his contribution to Education in the field of Entrepreneurship.

DIU student Khondoker Abu Talha conferred with Faraaz Hossain Courage Award

Khondaker Abu Talha, a student of Daffodil International University student, who heroically gave his life trying to fight against muggers in Dhaka, was conferred with “Faraaz Hossain Courage Award 2017” on 02 December 2017 at Hotel Radisson Blue in capital. He was conferred with the prize for his true courage and for standing up to protect fellow human beings facing extreme danger.

Farzia Afrin Mou obtained 2nd Position in Inter University Poetry Competition

Farzia Afrin Mou, a student from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, DIU and an active member of DIU Cultural Club took part in the Inter University Poetry Competition which was organized by Bangladesh University of Engineering Technology (BUET).
Among 80 participants from different public and private universities took part in this grand event. Among these 80 participants the participant from DIU, Farzia Afrin Mou secured the Second Place and represented DIU among all.

A group of students from National Central University (NCU)Taiwan visited the permanent Campus of Daffodil International University under the 'DIU Open House Program' hosted by International Affairs, DIU. These students from Business Administration as well as Information Management of NCU and they are currently visiting Bangladesh under Internship program. During the visit, they explored the beautiful campus of DIU, met the Social Business Student Forum (SBSF) members of DIU as well as attended in an introductory talk session with DIU officials and current Taiwanese student of DIU.
