Social Business Creation (SBC) Competition organized by HEC Montreal, Canada one of the most prestigious competitions for Social Business enthusiasts around the world. This year, Daffodil International University organized the Regional Final of the Social Business Creation, Bangladesh Chapter 2018 on July 31, 2018 at the Milanayoton 71 of Daffodil International University.

A 7 members delegate from Daffodil International University joins the 2nd ISESS 2018 Conference based on the theme “Developing Employability and Soft Skills among Graduates” in Malaysia held from 6th -7th August, 2018 at Avenue Garden Hotel, Bangi, Malaysia.

A meeting was held with the Conveners of the SA Committee and Head of the Departments at Daffodil International University on 16th August 2018 focusing mainly on the Visible changes observed after introducing S.A. Process Activities.

The closing and prize giving Ceremony of the 2nd International Summit on Employability and Soft Skills (ISESS2018) was held on August 7, 2018 at Avenue Garden Hotel, Bangi, Malaysia. All the papers of DIU employee were appreciated while DIU faculty member Ms. Nahian Fyrose Fahim, Lecturer, Department of Pharmacy was awarded with Excellent Paper award.

Dr. Neil Perez Balba, Visiting Professor of Daffodil International University from Lyceum of the Philippines University, Laguna, Philippines conducted two different teachers training for the faculty members of DIU dated on 12 August 2018. He conducted a training for the Faculty members of FBE with the title of 'Preparation for Accreditation: An International Approach'. On the other hand, Dr. Neil conducted a very interactive training session for the faculty members of FHSS entitled 'The Art of Teaching'.

DIU student at Engineering Summer Program in Russia

B. Sc. in Textile Engineering, DIU is now IEB accredited.

This is for the first time in Bangladesh
B. Sc. in Textile Engineering (TE) of Daffodil International University got the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) accreditation.

We signed memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Assam University (Central University) of Assam in India. Assam University is a teaching-cum-affiliating Central University. The university has sixteen schools which offer Social Sciences, Humanities, Languages, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Information Sciences, Technology and Management Studies.

DIU started an active collaboration with National Central University (NCU) Taiwan through a Memorandum of Understanding between both universities. Dr. Chien-wen Mark Shen, Director of YSBC & Associate Professor of Department of Business Administration, National Central University Taiwan and Prof. Dr. S. M. Mahbub Ul Haque Majumder, Acting Vice-Chancellor of Daffodil International University (DIU) signed the agreement on behalf of the respected University recently at DIU premises..

Congratulations to Dr. A. B. M. Kamal Pasha, Nahid Ferdous, and Md. Jawadul Gani of Daffodil International University for winning a $134,000 grant from Partnerships for Enhanced Engagement in Research! USAID, the U.S. Forest Service, and U.S. National Academies of Sciences are supporting the two-year project to use cutting edge drone technology to develop high-resolution maps of forest cover and analyze deforestation. This research will help develop and enforce conservation laws and will be made available to research institutions and public agencies across Bangladesh.
