"বিশ্বজোড়া পাঠশালা মোর সবার আমি ছাত্র"

কথাটা কবিতার ছন্দে পড়তে যতোটা না ভাল লাগা কাজ করতো তার চাইতেও কয়েকগুণ বেশি ভালো লাগাটা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় জীবনে পদার্পণের পর থেকে কাজ করছে।

কেননা পুরো বিশ্ব যেখানে স্থবির হয়ে থমকে গিয়েছে,সেখানে শিক্ষাব্যবস্থা থেমে যায়নি বরং ইন্টারনেটের মতো পরশপাথরের ছোঁয়ায় ড্যাফোডিল ইন্টারন্যাশনাল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় সর্বপ্রথম এক নতুনত্বের উন্মোচন করে যেখানে অনলাইন প্লাটফর্মে ছাত্র-শিক্ষক এক হয়ে এই সংকটকালীন মহামারী সময়েও শিক্ষাব্যবস্থা চালিয়ে যাচ্ছে।

আমার বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় জীবন শুরুর অভিজ্ঞতার গল্পটা অনেকটা ভিন্নতা দিয়ে শুরু হলো,নতুন অধ্যায়ে নিজেকে অনেকটা মানিয়ে নিয়েছি। অনলাইনে নবীন বরন থেকে প্রেজেন্টেশন সমস্ত কিছুর নতুন অভিজ্ঞতা আমাকে ক্ষানিকটা অবাক করেছিল।শুধু অবাক নয় সেই সাথে কিছুটা ভয়ের ও সঞ্চার হয়েছিল তবে শিক্ষকদের বন্ধুত্ব সুলভ আচরণ সেই ভয় টুকুকে জয় করতে খুব একটা বেশি সময় নেয়নি।প্রতিটা শিক্ষক অনেকটা অভয় দিয়ে আমাদের সামনে এগিয়ে যাওয়ার জন্য পথপ্রদর্শক হিসেবে পাশে ছিলো, এখনো আছে।সংকটকালীন মহামারী পরিস্থিতি বিরাজ করায় অনলাইন প্লাটফর্মে নিজেকে যুগোপযোগী করা নিয়ে কিছুটা দ্বিধা- দ্বন্দ্বে ছিলাম।তবে খাপ-খাইয়ে নেয়ার মানসিকতা আর বিশ্বাস দুটোকে সামনে রেখেই দু' কদম এগিয়ে ছিলাম।

কেননা "হেরে যাবো বলে তো স্বপ্ন দেখিনি"।

সবশেষে, ধন্যবাদ শিক্ষকতা পেশায় নিয়োজিত সকল শিক্ষকদেরকে,সমস্ত প্রতিকূল অবস্থার মাঝে থেকেও শিক্ষাবর্ষকে চলমান রাখার জন্য।

My admission story during this COVID-19 situation at DIU

When the whole world was seized by this terrible epidemic, another terrible thought for me, was about getting admitted to university. Unfortunately, I was being rejected from every public university in the country in the admission test of merit verification at the specified time.

At that time the admission process of all the private universities was also closed. For this reason I was so depressed. But in the meantime, I saw an admission notice of Daffodil International University which was completely online based. I immediately applied for admission to the Law department. Fortunately I have successfully completed all the admission processes. And in this epidemic, our classes are not going to stop, we can attend classes and exams online. As a result, there is no fear of any session clutter. Now I am a proud student of Daffodil International University.

Utilization of my time

Last few months I tried to prepare myself for a job but the COVID-19 pandemic gives me a stage to think again. During the pandemic, I try to utilize my time in effective ways and I believe an MBA degree is a huge plus point to get a better opportunity and gather good academic knowledge. That’s why I started to communicate with DIU.

In the very beginning, my family members discouraged me in many ways like- how could it be possible when all education institutes are closed. Basically many people don’t know about online learning tools like BLC- Blended Learning Center and other platforms. But I have managed my family members and the best part is, I have got admission as I was keen to go for an MBA degree from Daffodil International University.

My own experience

My father was a COVID-19 patient. So, I can feel those harsh times. On 26 May, he had some fever and couldn’t get any taste of food. His situation was getting worse day by day. On 31 May, we went to United Hospital for a test. One day later, we get to know that he got affected by COVID-19. My father was totally broken. Few days ago we started living alone. So, he started self isolation at home. He started following some basic things like lemon-spices tea, hot water, vitamin-c foods and basic medicine. The most important thing I want to share is the telemedicine service we get from “OLWEL” apps. They provide video call service to patients which is very helpful. After taking all the advice, 15 days later we went to hospital on 14 June for the 2nd test. And by the blessing of Allah, on 15 June we get to know that the report is negative, that is the victory for us.

These times are an ominous  time for COVID-19 patients and their family. Everyone just sees there outside physical issues but they can’t feel their mental situation,what’s going on in their mind. So, keep praying that Allah will forgive us from this tough situation.

COVID-19 affected life

My cousin Asif, COVID-19 survivors, who have been discharged from Satkhira City Hospital. From the very beginning, he was not worried because he had no symptoms. But gradually he felt not well. He was frustrated. Thinking about his family’s safety he stopped communication with everyone and maintained distance. Then as soon as he was admitted to the hospital and started his treatment. He said, “Thanks to the doctors and nurses for detecting COVID-19 on me and giving proper treatment so that I recovered fully”. He was under severe mental stress after getting to know about COVID-19 status.

The people around him like doctors, nurses all along told him that he will recover. They give him strength. He urged all to follow the social distancing norms, wash hands frequently, and obey government guidelines to defeat the COVID-19 pandemic. Now he is recovered and safe. He just lives with his family peacefully.

গুগল ক্লাসরুমে জয়েন করতেই সবাই যখন স্বমস্বরে সালাম দিয়ে উঠলো...মনে পড়ে গেল ৪২৩ নং রুমের কথা। সবার সাথে পরিচয় পর্ব হতে হতে মনে হচ্ছিলো মুক্ত বিহঙ্গের মতো কিছু পাখ-পাখালীর কিচির মিচির চলছে। কিভাবে সাজাতে চাও তোমার ক্যারিয়ার- প্রশ্ন করার সাথে সাথেই এক এক করে সবাই সবার পরিকল্পনা শোনাচ্ছিলো আর আমার মনে হচ্ছিলো আমি যেন আমার চোখের সামনেই দেখতে পাচ্ছি দেদিপ্যমাণ কিছু স্ফুরন যারা এই সময়েও নিজেদের আত্নবিশ্বাস নিয়ে এগিয়ে যাবার প্রত্যয়ে নিজেদেরকে যুক্ত করেছে ড্যাফোডিল আন্তর্জাতিক বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় এর আঙিনায়। 

নতুন সেমিষ্টারের ছাত্র হবার পরেও এরা নিজেদের পোর্টফোলিও তৈরী করেছে, সাজিয়েছে পরিকল্পনার ডানা, অংকিত করেছে আগামীর স্বপ্ন। খুব হিংসে হচ্ছিলো, মনে হচ্ছিলো এদের সাথে আবার প্রথম সেমিষ্টারে ভর্তি হই, এই স্বপ্নবাজদের থেকে স্বপ্ন ধার নেই। মনে মনে ভাবছিলাম, কে আটকাবে ওদের? পাহাড়-পর্বত তো নস্যি কোন অসামর্থতাই এদেরকে দমিয়ে রাখতে পারবে না। কেননা এরা যে অদম্য, দুর্জয় ও দুর্দমনীয়। প্রথমদিনের প্রথম মূহুর্তেই যারা নিজেদের স্বপ্নডানা মেলে দিতে পারে, তারা আর যাই হোক কোন প্যানডেমিকে আটকে থাকতে পারে না। 

তোমাদের প্রাপ্তিগুলো তোমাদের প্রত্যাশার থেকেও বেশী হোক, এই কামনা করছি।
সবুজের এই আঙিনায় আরেকবার স্বাগতম তোমায় হে নবীন।

করোনা ভাইরাসের ব্যাপকতা আটকাতে গত মার্চ মাসের মাঝামাঝি থেকে বন্ধ রয়েছে দেশের সব শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠান। অসুস্থ পৃথিবীতে কবে আসবে সুস্থতা-তা সম্পূর্ণ অনিশ্চিত। শিক্ষা মন্ত্রণালয় ও ইউজিসি’র নির্দেশনা অনুসারে ড্যাফোডিল ইন্টারন্যাশাল ইউনিভার্সিটি অনলাইনে ক্লাস নেওয়ার যে সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে , তা একটি যুগান্তরকারী সিদ্ধান্ত। বর্তমান প্রযুক্তির যুগে তার সর্বোত্তম ব্যবহার নিশ্চিত না করতে পারলে বিশ্বায়নের এ যুগে টিকে থাকা মুশকিল।

করোনা মহামারির এই কঠিন সময়ে অনলাইন প্ল্যাটফর্ম ‘ব্লেনডেড লার্নিং সেন্টারের (বিএলসি)’ সর্বোচ্চ সুবিধা উপভোগ করছে ড্যাফোডিল ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ইউনিভার্সিটির শিক্ষক ও শিক্ষার্থীরা। 

বিএলসি প্ল্যাটফর্ম স্থানীয় ও আন্তর্জাতিকভাবে ক্লাউড ইনফাস্ট্রাকচারের মাধ্যমে ডিজাইন করা ফলে শিক্ষার্থীরা দূরবর্তী যেকোনো জায়গায় বসে সরাসরি ক্লাস করাসহ জ্ঞানার্জনের সকল মাধ্যমে যুক্ত থাকতে পারে। দুর্বল ইন্টারনেট সংযোগের কারণে শিক্ষার্থীদের পড়াশোনা যাতে ব্যাহত না হয় সেই লক্ষ্যে ড্যাফোডিল ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ইউনিভার্সিটি এর বিএলসি প্ল্যাটফর্মে আমরা শিক্ষক-শিক্ষিকারা রেকর্ডেড ক্লাসগুলো আপলোড করে দিই, যার ফলে শিক্ষার্থীরা তাদের সুবিধা অনুযায়ী সময়ে ক্লাশগুলোতে অংশগহন করছে নিরবিচ্ছিন্নভাবে। সামার ২০২০ সেমিস্টারে ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের অনলাইনে বরণ করে নিল ড্যাফোডিল ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ইউনিভার্সিটি। অনলাইনে হল তাদের নবীন বরণ। সেই নবীন বরণে নবীনরা ছিল খুবই ইতিবাচক, প্রাণোজ্জ্বল এবং উদ্যমী। কাছে নেই আমাদের শিক্ষার্থীরা, কম্পিউটারের মনিটের দেওয়ালে দেখতে পাই ওদের, তবুও মনে হয় ওরা আমাদের খুবই কাছে। শিক্ষক হিসেবে খুবই আনন্দের সাথে শিক্ষার্থীদের সাথে অনলাইনে পাঠদান করছি । শিক্ষার্থীরাও অনলাইনে জ্ঞান অর্জনের জন্য খুবই জাগ্রত এবং খুবই ক্ষুদার্থ। পরিশেষে বলতে চাই তোমরা একদিন ইতিহাস হয়ে থাকবে , তোমরা একদিন পুরো বিশ্বকে এগিয়ে নিয়ে যাবে, বিশ্বের দরবারে ড্যাফোডিল ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ইউনিভার্সিটির শিক্ষার্থী হিসেবে অনেক সুনাম বয়ে নিয়ে আসবে, এই শুভ কামনা রইল।
