Seminar on ‘Career Planning & Placement Opportunities’ organized by Career Development Center of Daffodil International University was held on 14 July 2018 at Banquet Hall of the University.

International Social Business Summer Program (ISBSP 2018), the only summer program in Bangladesh is now on roll at Daffodil International University! It started on July 01, 2018 at the Green Campus of DIU at Ashulia. Around 60 talented participants from 16 different countries including Switzerland, Greece, France, Germany, Brazil, Taiwan, Philippines, Indonesia, South Korea, India, Sri Lanka, China, Somalia, Nigeria, Nepal and of course, Bangladesh are attending in this vibrant summer program. On the day one they had experienced 'Coming Out of Box' session conducted by K M Hasan Ripon, Adviser of Bangladesh Skill Development Institute (BSDI), along with games and fun session around the campus. The 10 day summer program will go on till 10 July with loads of activities to come.

Md Sabur Khan, Chairman, BoT of Daffodil International University conducted special session on 'Social Entrepreneurship in Mind' for the participants of International Social Business Summer Program (ISBSP 2018), that is started on July 01, 2018. Around 60 talented participants from 16 different countries including Switzerland, Greece, France, Germany, Brazil, Taiwan, Philippines, Indonesia, South Korea, India, Sri Lanka, China, Somalia, Nigeria, Nepal and of course, Bangladesh are attending in this vibrant summer program. During the session at Kurmitola Golf Club in Dhaka he briefly shared his experiences and step by step initiatives to expand the business locally in Bangladesh and internationally.

The Department of Public Health organized “Journal Day” on 15 July 2018 for the students of Weekend Program (WP) of Master of Public Health (MPH) Course. Around 100 (one hundred) MPH students and all Faculty Members of the Department participated in the program. Prof. Dr. Harun-Ar- Rashid, Professor and Head of the Department of Public Health chaired the Scientific Session. He explained the importance of “Journal Day” in disseminating knowledge related to latest innovations as well as developing research career of students and faculties as well. Two research papers were presented by MPH students of 19th Batch Weekend Program (WP).

Department of Law Daffodil International University organized a special program on “Lecture on Media Laws: Special Focus on ICT Laws” in its permanent campus, Ashulia on July 23, 2018. Mr. Mizanur Rahman Khan, renowned journalist of the country and the Joint Editor, Prothom Alo was present as the resource person. Program was addressed by Professor Dr. Mostafa Kamal, Dean, Permanent Campus, DIU and Professor Dr. Farhana Helal Mehtab, Associate Dean, Faculty of Humanities & Social Science.
