বাংলাদেশ অলিম্পিয়াড ইন ইনফরমেটিক্স (বিডিওআই) ২০২৩ এর জাতীয় পর্যায়ের সমাপনী ও পুরস্কার বিতরনী অনুষ্ঠান ড্যাফোডিল ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ইউনিভার্সিটি, ড্যাফোডিল স্মার্ট সিটি, সাভারের কাজী নজরুল এডুপ্লেক্স এ অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। সমগ্র বাংলাদেশ থেকে প্রিলিমিনারী রাউন্ডের মাধ্যমে সেরাদের নির্বাচিত করে দুইদিনব্যাপী এ চূড়ান্ত প্রতিযোগীতায় ৬১ জন প্রতিযোগী অংশগ্রহণ করে। বাংলাদেশ ইনফরমেটিক্স অলিম্পিয়াড কমিটির সভাপতি 

প্রফেসর ড. জাফর ইকবাল এর সভাপতিত্বে অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন ড্যাফোডিল ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ইউনিভার্সিটির উপাচার্য প্রফেসর ড. এম লুৎফর রহমান। অনুষ্ঠানে বিশেষ অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন ডাচ্ বাংলা ব্যাংকের উপ মহাপরিচালক মোঃ শাহ আলম পাটোয়ারী। অনুষ্ঠানে বক্তব্য রাখেন বাংলাদেশ  বাংলাদেশ ইনফরমেটিক্স অলিম্পিয়াড কমিটির সদস্য প্রফেসর ড. মোহাম্মদ কায়কোবাদ এবং অন্যান্য অতিথিবৃন্দ।

The Bangladesh Medical Students’ Society is proud to announce the successful launch of the  WHO Simulation 2023, supported by WHO Bangladesh, that took place over two days (28-29 April) at Daffodil International University, Daffodil Smart City, Birulia, Dhaka. This prestigious program was organized in partnership with the Department of Public Health ,  Daffodil International University.  Dr.   Shamil       Uddin 

Ahmed Shimul, Honourable Member of Parliament was present at the opening ceremony as the chief guest while Professor Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor of DIU was present as the guest of Honor. Mr. Iftekhar Ahmed Sakib, Chair of the opening ceremony for WHO Simulation 2023 conveyed his gratitude to the guests and participants.

The Department of Software Engineering, DIU has organized the first-ever International Virtual AI Summit 2023 in Bangladesh. The primary objective of this summit is to introduce AI tools for teaching and research. More than eighty registered participants from around the world took part in the International Virtual  AI  Summit  2023.       Through

interactive workshops,attendees learned to efficiently use AI tools in research and teaching. These workshops also demonstrated techniques for using AI tools in daily and professional settings. The summit contributed to the promotion of learning to use AI tools effectively and applying them in teaching, research,and daily life for improved speed, quality, and efficiency.

We are very happy and thrilled to congratulate Prof. Dr. H. Dato’ Shushilil Azam bin Shuib, Visiting Professor of the Dept. of Business Administration, Daffodil International University, Bangladesh, who has recently been appointed as Director of Education Malaysia, Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia! 

We wish that during his tenure, the relationship between Malaysian universities and Bangladeshi universities will be strengthened to facilitate more academic exchanges and higher education prospects!

We were honored to have the presence of our esteemed VC, Dean, and Head of the CIS department during this program. Their support and encouragement inspired our students to reach new heights in their learning and development.         A big

shout-out to all of our instructors, faculty, and students for making this boot camp a huge success. We are excited to see how this program will empower our students to make meaningful contributions to the tech industry.

The Career Development Center just wrapped up an exciting program on "Express Your Idea in English" at Prof. Dr. Aminul Islam Hall, DSC, Asulia. The program included a speech competition with over 100 participants, and the top 10 finalists had the opportunity to learn from experts in the field of 

English language. The program provided valuable insights and practical knowledge for participants to express their thoughts and ideas in English. We hope this experience inspires them to keep practicing and improving their language skills.

Financial Technology (FinTech) is transforming the financial market in Bangladesh, FinTech innovations can provide greater convenience, accessibility, and affordability for financial services. To equip technology oriented financial service, to make the students learned about the role, challenges and future of FinTech in Bangladesh, Department of Business Administration, DIU has organized a seminar on Financial Technology in Bangladesh: Reshaping the Financial Market held on 11th April, 2023 at International Conference Hall, Daffodil Smart City, 

Ashulia, Dhaka. Jewel Kumar Roy, Assistant Professor of Department of Finance and Banking at Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University addressed the students of BBA program. The session aimed to provide students with insights into the latest fintech innovations and how they are reshaping the financial market in Bangladesh, another important topic of discussion was the role of fintech in promoting financial inclusion and challenges of implementation in Bangladesh. Professor Dr. Mostafa Kamal, Dean, Academic Affairs was present as Guest of Honor.

The Department of Journalism, Media and Communication at Daffodil International University, in collaboration with ATN Bangla, has launched the 7th season of their talent hunt competition, 'Be A Media Star' on April 11, 2023 at DIU Conference Room, Daffodil Smart City, Birulia, Savar, Dhaka.

HSC graduates from all over Bangladesh are invited to showcase their talent in categories such as journalism reports, video content production, film-making, infographic making, visual storytelling, and photography. Winners will have their content broadcast on ATN Bangla!

Zaynax Health, a well-known healthcare company, recently conducted an on-campus spot recruitment session at Daffodil International University on April 10 in association with Career Development Center, DIU. More than 100 students were present at the session and around 30 students participated in the interview, and we are pleased to announce that 11 

students have already received offer letters on the spot. Congratulations to the successful candidates! Zaynax Health is still on the lookout for talented individuals to join their team as part-time telesales executives. They are planning to hire 50 more students, and will be returning after the Eid vacation for another round of interviews.

The Department of Computing and Information System, Daffodil International University organized "Meet the Alumni 2023" at Daffodil Smart City. It was a fantastic opportunity to hear from CIS alumni about their experiences and achievements since graduating from the program. We are grateful to 

our alumni for taking the time to share their stories and insights with us. We hope to host more events like this in the future and continue to strengthen our alumni network. Thank you to everyone who participated and made the event a success!

Last Saturday, Daffodil Robotics Lab hosted a daylong workshop on Robot 3D Design, where students from different departments learned how to design and manufacture custom 3D robot models.

Around 100 students attended this workshop and gained valuable knowledge that they will use to develop their very own custom design robot. 

To create awareness to prevent sexual harassment, eve-teasing, ragging, and violence against women, Daffodil International University organized a seminar on the, titled "Say No to Sexual Harassment: Don’t Be Silent, Be Strong." The event was organized by the University's Complaint Committee to Prevent Sexual Harassment on April 08,2023 at International 

Conference Hall of the university at Daffodil Smart City, Birulia, Savar, Dhaka. The event featured prominent guests such as Dr. Fauzia Moslem, President of Bangladesh Mahila Parishad, Ms. Mahfuza Liza BPM, Superintendent of Police (International Affairs) Special Branch, Bangladesh Police and Professor Dr. Sunjida Shahriah, Physician, counselor, psychotherapy practitioner Phoenix Wellness Center Bangladesh and Member Secretary of PCSB.

Seminar on "Sports Nutrition & Diet in Ramadan" organized by the Department of Nutrition & Food Engineering (NFE) and Department of Public Health (PH) of Daffodil International University, in collaboration with the "Nutrition & Health Bee" Club. We were honored to have Dr. Arif  Chowdhury 

Apou as our keynote speaker and Amena Jannat Nipa, Nutritionist & Dietician, Enam Medical College Hospital as our guest speaker. The seminar covered the basics of sports nutrition as well as the important role of nutrition and diet during Ramadan. Stay healthy and active with proper nutrition!

Md Noman, Zaowad Hossain Chowdhury and Pretty Dey - three students from the Department of Software Engineering; Multimedia and Creative Technology; and Computer Science and Engineering, DIU are about to embark on a life-changing journey. They have been selected for the highly coveted Erasmus+ KA107 Scholarship 2023, which takes them to Istanbul Kultur University (IKU) in Turkiye 

for one semester (Spring-2023). IKU has strong academic programs in science and technology, which makes it the perfect destination for these students. During their stay in Istanbul, these students will not only attend classes at IKU but will also have the opportunity to explore the city and immerse themselves in Turkish culture. It's a chance for them to broaden their horizons, develop new skills, and become global citizens. 

In collaboration with DIU Medical Center and Department of Public Health, we provided over 120+ residents with free medical check-ups, healthcare advice, and education on common health conditions. We're proud to have been able to give back to  the

community and provide quality healthcare facilities to those who need it. This event was just the beginning, as we plan to organize more similar events in the future as part of our commitment to social responsibility. 

Abu Ansar Md. Rizwan, a Daffodil Public Health alumni, has been awarded a fully funded PhD scholarship from The Texas Tech University in the USA. Congratulations,   Rizwan !    He completed 

his Masters in Public Health at Daffodil International University (DIU) in 2018. We are pleased to see DIU graduates making strides in their academic careers and contributing to the field of public health.

We're proud to be an entrepreneurial organization run by students, and this partnership with e-Courier is a fantastic opportunity to expand our services and better serve our fellow students and 

colleagues. CEO of e-Courier Mr. Biplab Ghosh Rahul and Incharge of Kiosk Mr. Riaz Uddin Ahmed signed MoU on behalf of respective organizations while Honorable Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman and other distinguished guests were present.

As you step onto the grounds of Daffodil International University, you can't help but be struck by the beauty of the campus. The lush greenery and meticulously maintained lawns provide a stunning backdrop to the modern buildings that make up the heart of the campus. From the impressive library to the state-of-the-art laboratories, the facilities at Daffodil International University are second to none.

But it's not just the physical beauty of the campus that sets it apart. As you walk through the halls, you can feel the energy and excitement that comes from being surrounded by so many passionate and dedicated students. Everywhere you look, there are groups of students engaged in lively discussions or collaborating on projects. The atmosphere is one of intellectual curiosity and creative exploration.
