AWS Cloud Day Bangladesh 2023 provided participants with three parallel tracks: Technical, Business, and Career, enabling them to explore the world of AWS and unlock growth opportunities. Dr Sabur Khan, BoT Chairman, DIU attended Uni20 . Dr. Khan admired the legendary and painstaking work of Dr. SB Mujumdar the founder of Symbiosis in creating     a     mega    hilltop    university.

YouthAid Foundation based out of Pune invited Dr. Md. Sabur Khan to e-inaugurate its STEM Innovation Center for educating 20,000 children of slums and backward colonies of Pune, India. The Foundation has so far trained 16,000 marginalized women in starting nano  entrepreneurship  projects  of which more

than 6000 have started successfully. The STEM Center is an attempt to spread scientific spirit and learning at an early age among children from the grassroots, and is a brainchild of YouthAid founder Mr Mathew Mattam. Dr Khan inspired the youths and  children  to  be positive seekers of scientific knowledge.

The public will have the opportunity to visit the fair from 10 am to 8 pm every day until June 5, and explore the craftsmanship and creativity on display.

This event featured two esteemed Chartered Accountants from ACNABIN, Mohammad Aminul Hoque, FCA, and Abdullah Al Mamun, FCA. Their presence ensured that participants had the exclusive opportunity to learn from      seasoned     professionals     with

The students from both departments had an opportunity to convergence of two mega projects and experiencing the magnitude of this incredible endeavor in project management and engineering art. The future civil engineers were inspired for a lifetime as they witnessed large-scale river training works, embankments, expressways, bridges, viaducts, and the intricate network of converging and divergingrail and road systems within this

mega structure. Dr. Mohammad Hannan Mahmud Khan, Head of Civil Engineering, and Dr. Amir Ahmed, Head of Real Estate Department, expertly led both teams of students during this eye-opening visit. Major Md. Arman Ali Bhuiyan (Retd.), Director (P&D), DIU, and Major (Rtd.) SM Mujahid Munir, Course Teacher, Real Estate Project Management were also present, enriching the experience.

They engaged with the young minds through interactive methods like role-play, poster presentations, quizzes, and games, effectively disseminating vital nutritional knowledge. Their efforts   aimed   at   instilling  the  significance  of  a 

balanced diet and essential nutrients, along with emphasizing the importance of physical activity for a healthier lifestyle. To ensure the reach of knowledge to a wider community, they distributed informative materials among the children.

We were honored to have Professor Dr Sayeedur Rahman, from the Institute of Modern Languages at the University of Dhaka, for delivering an inspiring Keynote Speech. He highlighted the immense value of undergraduate research, emphasizing how it equips students with crucial soft skills, boosting their employability and entrepreneurial abilities in the 21st century. The Best Papers Award (First Prize)   went   to   the   outstanding

The Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Business and Entrepreneurship at Daffodil International University organized a seminar on  export 

The resource person for the seminar was Mr. Jahid Hussain, an experienced Export Market Developer, Founder, and CEO of Export Sheba. With his expertise, he shared practical experiences, challenges faced, and lessons learned in the export business. This firsthand knowledge provided the students with a realistic perspective and enabled them to make informed   decisions  and  avoid  common 

pitfalls.The seminar focused on developing the essential skills required for export business success, such as market research, negotiation, communication, and cross-cultural understanding. Students had the opportunity to participate in skill-building workshops, training sessions, and panel discussions. Additionally, practical exercises and case studies were conducted to enhance their problem-solving abilities 

in an international trade context. Mr. Jahid's sharing of success stories from industry encouraged the students to explore international business opportunities. Such inspiration can play a vital  role  in  overcoming  self-doubt  and 

building confidence in their export endeavors. The seminar emphasized that export business can be an invaluable learning experience for SME entrepreneurs, equipping them   with  the  necessary

The team of Independent University Bangladesh (IUB) became runner-up with 10 points. The members of the DIU champion team are Md. Mottakin Mondol, Jahid Hasan, Md. Adil and Shatadru Shovon Dey. The tournament was held in Swiss  league  system  with a time control 

of  5 minutes. The champion team received crests, certificates and cash prizes from chief guest Mahmuda Hoque Chowdhury Moly, National Chess Instructor of Bangladesh, and Notre Dame College officials at the prize giving ceremony on 20 May 2023.

attention of 25 talented students from our THM department, who eagerly participated via WeChat Video Talk. They seized the outstanding opportunity to be a part of our prestigious paid international internship program. This program offers exceptional     positions      in         various 

departments, including Front Office, Room/Housekeeping, Food & Beverage Service, and Food & Beverage Production. These coveted positions provide invaluable hands-on experience in the dynamic hospitality industry and the opportunity to work at The Hotel Sheraton Sanya Resort.

The University of Regina (UoR), Canada and Daffodil International University (DIU) Bangladesh entered into an academic partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and a Student Exchange Program Agreement (SEPA) on June 5, 2023. The primary objective of this agreement is to foster collaboration between the two institutions in various areas such as 

student exchange, faculty visits, staff exchange, online mobility, scholarships, and research activities. The signing of agreements was attended by Mr. Haroon Chaudhry, Associate Vice-President (International) & Chief International Officer of UoR, and Professor Dr. Md. Fokhray Hossain, Director of International Affairs, DIU as the signatories. The University of Regina is a public research 

The University of Regina is a public research university located in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. Founded in 1911. . This MoU marks the beginning of a new journey    for    both   countries,   creating 

opportunities for Bangladeshi students to study in Canada and allowing academics from both institutions to engage in short and long-term teaching and research exchanges.

It is worth mentioning that in both countries, the ongoing work is being carried out at Nawaz Ali Ideal High School, Ashulia, Dhaka, a designated educational institution of the community. Upon completion of the project, the obtained results and the methodologies for fulfilling the educational deficits will be 

implemented not only in Bangladesh but also in other countries around the world affiliated with the World University Association for Community Development (WUACD).

Sidratul Montaha, an alumna of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Daffodil International University has been awarded a fully funded graduate scholarship from the University of Calgary, Canada! Sidratul completed  her  B.Sc. in  CSE  at  DIU  in 

2022. Currently she serving as a research coordinator at the Health Informatics Research Lab (HIRL), DIU, and as a remote research assistant at Charles Darwin University, Australia, Sidratul has been making remarkable strides in her academic and professional journey.
