Daffodil International University holds discussion meeting on National Mourning Day-2019

Daffodil International University (DIU) paid glowing tributes to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman marking his 44th martyr-dom anniversary and National Mourning Day with due respect recalling the August 15, 1975 carnage, when Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was killed along with most of his family members. To mark the occasion a discussion meeting was arranged today on August 28, 2019 at the 71 Milonayoton Auditorium of Daffodil International University.

“DIU Inter Section Programming Contest Summer 2019”

Daffodil International University Computer and Programming Club (DIU CPC) organized ‘Inter Section Programming Contest Summer 2019’ in association with CSE Department on 20th August 2019 at Daffodil International University. DIUCPC with the inspiration of Prof. Dr. Syed Akhter Hossain (Head,Department of CSE,DIU) organized the largest team contest in the history of Daffodil International University.

Journalism and Mass Communication Department of DIU brought out Rally to create Awareness in Dhanmondi Area

To create awareness among mass people, the students and Teachers of Journalism and Mass Communication Department of Daffodil International University brought out Rally to create Awareness in Dhanmondi Area today on August 05, 2019. Ms, Shirin Gaffar, Women Ward Commissioner of Dhanmondi, New Market and Hazaribagh (Ward-14-15-16) area of Dhaka South City Corporation (14-15-16) lead the rally.The rally started from the main campus of the university and surrounded main roads of Dhanmondi Area. The rally was also attended by Professor Dr. M shakhawat Ali Khan, Adviser, Prof. Dr. Selim Ahmed, Head of the department , Sheikh Shafiul Islam, Associate Professor, Dr. Taufiq Elahi, Associate Head, Department of Journalism and Mass Communication.

ড্যাফোডিলে ‘আর্ট অব ক্রাফট ফেয়ার’ অনুষ্ঠিত

কাঠের বাড়ি, কাগজের নৌকা, সুতোয় মোড়ানো কাঁচের বোতল, বাহারি রঙের গাছ-পাখি-ফুল। সবুজে ঘেরা পাহাড় ও ঝর্ণা, দিয়াশলাই কাঠি দিয়ে তৈরি ছোট্ট ঘর। আইসক্রিমের ফেলনা কাঠি দিয়ে বানানো কলমদানি, ফোন রাখার বক্স, ওয়ালমেট। সুসজ্জিত এসব জিনিস নিয়ে ক্রেতার অপেক্ষায় একদল শিক্ষার্থী। কৌতূহলী ক্রেতারা দেখছেন দৃষ্টি ভরে। কেউবা দামাদামি করতে ব্যস্ত আছেন। ড্যাফোডিল ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ইউনিভার্সিটিতে অনুষ্ঠিত ‘আর্ট অব ক্রাফট ফেয়ার’ এ এমনই চিত্র দেখা গেল।

workshop on ‘Writing a research proposal

Daffodil International University successfully organized a workshop on ‘Writing a research proposal for funded research project & Ph.D’ for interested Ph.D candidates of DIU during 25th August to 28th August 2019 where four delegates from Techno India University (TIU) were the resource persons led by Prof. Dr. Goutam Sengupta, Vice-Chancellor of TIU. A group of DIU faculty, administrative members also appeared for the RET (Research Entrance Test) to extend academic exchange and mutual collaboration in the international arena.

DIU Chairman Presented Keynote Paper at BFCCI Annual Summit in Finland

Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Founder and Chairman, Daffodil International University (DIU) and Daffodil Family presented his keynote speech at Bangladesh-Finland Chamber of Commerce and Industries (BFCCI) Annual Summit held on 22nd August 2019 at Opinmäki, Espoo in Finland.

Ms. Musfika Monira completed her Master’s Degree in Information Technology with full funded scholarship from the University of Eastern, Finland which is a public university.

We are proud that one of our DIU Alumni from Department of Software Engineering Ms. Musfika Monira completed her Master’s Degree in Information Technology with full funded scholarship from the University of Eastern, Finland which is a public university. She also visited NASA Kennedy Space Center to showcase her project presentation in front of NASA Astronaut Dr. Charles Camarda, along with researchers and university teachers, as well as met with world-renowned astronauts. Moreover, Ms. Monira is trying to get PhD opportunity in Finland. We wish her and all of our alumni a bright future for global achievements.

DIU Student Joined 6th Annual AUAP-PIM Global Leadership Program 2019

Md. Kafiul Bin Islam, student of Computer Science and Engineering, & Student Associate of International Affairs, is currently attending the 6th Annual AUAP-PIM Global Leadership Program 2019. They are learning to drive the 21st-century workforce in collaboration with Panyapiwat Institute of Management (PIM), Bangkok, Thailand.With the Gorgeous opening ceremony of this program in the presence of eminent personalities; they are currently exploring the Thai Culture, learning Thai cooking, visiting renowned places like Pattaya Floating Market, understanding the business strategy of CPRAM food and drinks company, CP all academy and more with the participants from different countries.
