A commemoration of the martyred and wounded in the anti-discrimination movement and a photographic exhibition on the flow of events of the July uprising, in collaboration with the Daffodil International University Photographic Society and All Stars Daffodil, staged the “Medha Koto Kore KG?” drama.

  The Daffodil Family’s Change Together program, fully guided by Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Founder & Chairman, Daffodil Family, brought an inspiring vision of growth and transformation to life. Dr. Khan elaborated on the theme, Enhancing Skills with Micro-Credintials and Effective Use of the Daily Diary," and announced a 2 crore fund for micro-credential courses, emphasizing skill development and innovation.

  The Martyred Intellectuals Day 2024 was observed with due solemnity at Daffodil International University. At a discussion session held to commemorate the sacrifices of the martyred intellectuals on the eve of the victory in the Liberation War of 1971, the university's Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, stated:
"The martyred intellectuals were our guiding lights, whose sacrifices made the dream of independence a reality."

  Daffodil International University celebrated the first anniversary of the DIU Astrophysics Center with the inspiring "𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐬𝐦𝐨𝐬: 𝐀𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨 𝐀𝐫𝐭 & 𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧" The event featured stunning space-themed art and photography exhibitions, workshops, and an insightful keynote by renowned physicist and astro-photographer Muneem Hossain Rana, Founder of Interstellar Bd, on "𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿 – 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗻". 

  The "𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗿" session brought together students from every department for an incredible opportunity to engage directly with our Honorable Vice Chancellor, alongside the Dean of Academic Affairs and Registrar of DIU.

  The newly inaugurated Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC Daffodil Smart City Sub-Branch, located near our campus, will provide easy access to banking services for everyone. The sub-branch was inaugurated by our honorable Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, as the chief guest. 

  Daffodil International University organized a 3-day 𝗢𝗮𝘁𝗵-𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝗩𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻 as part of the 16-day International Campaign to End Violence Against Women and Children.

A group of students from the Department of Innovation & Entrepreneurship recently visited Dekko Accessories Ltd. as part of our regular industry visit activities. These opportunities bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world industry practices, empowering our students to gain practical insights and inspiration.

  Students from the Department of Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Daffodil University, had an inspiring visit to Brain Station 23, where they had an incredible session with Mr. Raisul Kabir, Founder & CEO. His insights on entrepreneurship and innovation left our students motivated for the future!

  The Department of Computer Science & Engineering, DIU, has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Datasoft Manufacturing and Assembly Inc. Ltd. (DMA) to establish a state-of-the-art incubation center at DIU!

This study proposed research questions regarding diverse aspects of GNN in the healthcare domain and addressed them through an in-depth analysis. This study can provide practitioners and researchers with profound insights into the current landscape of GNN applications in healthcare and can guide healthcare institutes, researchers, and governments by demonstrating the ways in which GNN can contribute to the development of effective and efficient healthcare systems.

Short Details:

We utilized SHAP (Shapley Additive explanations) and LIME (Local Interpretable Model-agnostic Explanations) techniques in our study to improve the interpretability of the proposed model, providing valuable insights into how the model makes decisions. Furthermore, the proposed model has been further explained using the Grad-CAM and Grad-CAM++ techniques, which is a class-discriminative localization approach, to improve trust and transparency. Grad-CAM++ performed slightly better than Grad-CAM in identifying the predicted area's location. Finally, the most efficient model has been integrated into an end-to-end (E2E) system, accessible through both web and Android platforms for medical professionals to classify blood cell.

This study contributes to understanding and appreciating Panam City's historical significance while promoting innovative approaches to heritage preservation in the digital age. This dataset contains 2292 images of degraded wall classes such as Artistic, Corroded Brick, Corroded Plaster, Fungus, and Living Plant.

●        Introduction to IoT and Project Journey: Overview of IoT fundamentals, setting up IoT hardware, and configuring sensors through hands-on activities.

Knowledge Sharing: Opportunities for participants to share insights and learn from peers.

Here are the key activities from the visit:

●        Official Visit and Welcome Session: A team from the IoT Lab of the Department of CSE, DIU, visited Datasoft Manufacturing & Assembly Inc. Ltd. (DMA) and was warmly welcomed by Mr. Hasan Rahman, Managing Director of DMA.

●        Meeting, Discussion, and Project Presentation: A productive session was held to explore collaborative opportunities, during which two IoT Lab students presented a project prototype, demonstrating their innovation and technical skills.

Strengthening Academic-Industry Partnership: The visit reinforced the partnership between DIU and DMA, paving the way for future collaboration and shared initiatives.

Software Development: Developed and integrated software to complement the prototype.

   The 4th National Data Science Summit, organized by the Data Science Lab (DIU) and the Department of Software Engineering (DIU), was a celebration of inspiration, collaboration, and groundbreaking ideas. Featuring insightful talks on AI's transformative impact on education and the future, the event brought together industry leaders, academic pioneers, and participants from across the nation.

  The Department of EEE celebrated EEE Day 2024, a vibrant event showcasing achievements, fostering community, and inspiring innovation. The day featured exciting activities, including sports and games such as cricket, football, badminton, carrom, and a treasure hunt, promoting teamwork and active participation.

  Daffodil International University has partnered with Paramount to enhance practical learning in textile and apparel engineering through a groundbreaking MoU.
