Mr. Golam Murshed, Managing Director & CEO, Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC. was present at the seminar on ‘Career Guideline for future CEO’ as the keynote speaker.

Mr. Md. Faisal Imtiaz Khan, Chief Human Resources Officer, Robi Axiata Limited was present at the Seminar on “The Future is Calling” as the keynote speaker.

On December 14 observed as Martyr Intellectuals Day , Daffodil International University paid homage to the inntellectuals.

The State Minister for ICT Division, Bangladesh Mr. Zunaid Ahmed Palak, inaugurated "BANGABHANDHU & LIBERATION WAR STUDY CENTER" at Daffodil International University Library, Daffodil Smart City, Birulia, Savar, Dhaka

Daffodil International University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Walton Digi-Tech Industries Limited recently at the Conference Room of DIU, Daffodil Smart City, Birulia, Savar, Dhaka.

To empower students to reach their goals through hard work and determination 100 Million Mindset & Human Resource Development Institute (HRDI) of Daffodil International University have jointly organized a self-development event for the students of Daffodil International University titled “Hal Chero Na Bondhu”.

Kabi Nazrul Eduplex was officially inaugurated at the DIU Library to honour his contribution to Bengali literature and culture for the next generation.

Achievement

Daffodil International University has been recognized by renowned business magazine Arthakantha as the Best University of the Year.

Bangladesh has won the most inspirational category in the US space research agency's innovative competition 'NASA Space Apps Challenge-2022'. "Team Diamonds" of Daffodil International University won the title of champion by defeating 5 thousand 327 teams from 162 countries of the world organized virtually.

Daffodil International University achieves the Top Position in Bangladesh for the past six consecutive years at "UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2022".

Abu Nefa, a student from the Dept. of Business Administration, DIU, reached Japan to study one semester at Eikei University of Hiroshima, Japan , under the Student Exchange Program for the Spring-2023 semester with tuition and accommodation scholarships.

Three students from the Dept. of Business Administration, DIU and Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering successfully studied one semester at Eikei University of Hiroshima in Japan under the semester exchange program from September to December (Fall-2022) with tuition and accommodation scholarships.

From the Dept. of English, DIU, student Farhana Fardaus Mim, got the opportunity to study at Chandigarh University , India, under the Semester Exchange Program with tuition and accommodation scholarships to complete 12 academic credits in this Fall-2022 semester related to English language and literature.

Dr. Tanmoy Sana, student of Public Health Department, DIU completed his PhD with Fully Funded Scholarship from The University of Newcastle, Australia.

DIU graduate from Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Md. Sagar Hossen received the prestigious KNB Full Funded Scholarship (2021-2023) provided by the Ministry of Education and Culture of Indonesia

Departmental Activities

Department of Innovation & Entrepreneurship of Daffodil International University organized the National Final of Global Entrepreneurship World Cup on 22 December 2022 in association with GEN Bangladesh.

A group of students led by Dr. Amir Ahmed, Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Real Estate, Daffodil International University visited the Rehab Fair 2022.

As part of the Community Outreach Program of the Embedded System Research Lab, Department of CSE, 50 Delegate BCS Cadre Teachers from different Colleges in Bangladesh visited CSE Department.

Department of Textile Engineering of Daffodil International University (DIU) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with PURBANI Group.

The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of Daffodil International University celebrates EEE Day 2022 with great enthusiasm and a colorful program.

The Department of Software Engineering, Daffodil International University celebrated its 12 years of excellence with great enthusiasm and colorful programs.

The 1st DIU Multidisciplinary Conference was held at the Faculty & Admin Zone of Central Library, Daffodil International University, Daffodil Smart City, Birulia, Savar, Dhaka, which was organized by the Department of General Educational Development (GED).

The Department of Real Estate, Daffodil International University signed a MoU with Amar Angina, a popular online based Property Buying-Selling platform which incorporated virtual reality in the property business. A team of Real Estate students of DIU have already been engaged with a part-time employment in the company.

A team of 4 students and 2 faculty members from the Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering, DIU recently joined a one-week long ‘Faculty & Student Exchange Program-2022’

International Affiliation

Mr. Bogdan Voronovskiy, General Director of the Eastern European University Association (EEUA), and Mr. Evgeniy Kapudtin, Head of the International Cooperation Center, Belgorod State Technological University (BSTU) visited Daffodil International University.

To share multidimensional issues that foster a sense of common ideology and the interest in exploring educational cooperation, culture, economy, and heritage, and more between Bangladesh and Turkiye, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkiye to Bangladesh Mustafa Osman Turan visited Daffodil International University as a chief guest of a special seminar on ‘Bangladesh-Turkey Relations: Dimensions and Prospects’.

Project Learn & Eran

The Learn & Earn Project at Daffodil International University (DIU) supports and subsidizes meaningful work experiences on campus, offering current DIU students the opportunity to develop their professional skills in a professional work environment. Students can learn from a mentor, expand their professional network, gain work experience and skills through a part-time job at DIU or any concern of the Daffodil Family while continuing their regular classes.
