Founding Anniversary

With great enthusiasm and festive mood, Daffodil International University celebrated its 21st year of glory at Daffodil Smart City, Birulia, Savar, Dhaka.

For the past 21 years, DIU has been a beacon of education, fostering the development of future leaders in our country. We extend our heartfelt gratitude and congratulations to the faculty, staff, students, parents and alumni who have contributed to the success of the institution.

"পথিকৃৎ উদ্যোক্তাদের জীবনসংগ্রাম" Book Launching

The solemn launch occasion of পথিকৃৎ উদ্যোক্তাদের জীবনসংগ্রাম (The Entrepreneurs Who Built the Path) edited by the Chairman of Daffodil Group, Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, was done in the presence of the families of these entrepreneurs along with one of them who is still going strong, at Daffodil Smart City, located in Birulia, Savar, Dhaka.

Orientation Program Spring 2023

The fresh morning campus became lively with the walk of new students and parents. In their joy, the green campus of Daffodil International University was stirred with a new color, the taste of innovation.

Daffodil Family Day

The Celebration of 'Daffodil Family Day 2023' was organized where over 5000+ members of the Daffodil Family, along with their family members, attended and enjoyed the daylong program.

The day belonged to members of the daffodil family. Everybody spent the whole day frolicking in the lovely green campus. Nagardola, sports, painting competition, dance-song and many other things were in the program.

DIU Industry-Academia Lecture series second phase began at Daffodil International University.

The economy of Bangladesh is progressing in many ways. Industrialists, among many others, have a role to play in building the foundation of this economy. Several of them have risen from almost nothing to the pinnacle of success with honesty, concentration and hard work and have become an inspiration to others. The life struggle of 11 such successful industrialists and a special organization has been published "The Life of Entrepreneurs".

Departmental Activities

Daffodil International University's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Department, Bangladesh Open Source Network (BDOSN) and Entrepreneurship group-based Facebook initiative Chakri Khojbo Na Chakri Debo jointly organized the 'Entrepreneurs Rally 2023' at the University's Independence Conference Center by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Daffodil International University, Dr. Md. Sabur Khan.

Erasmus+ KA171 Exchange Faculty Dr. Patricia Coloma, Professor from partner UCAM Universidad Católica de Murcia, Spain joined to teach a week of different courses at the Department of English, DIU!

Department of Journalism, Media and Communication, DIU welcomed an Exchange Student from the Windesheim University of Applied Sciences, The Netherlands , who will be studying for the Spring-2023 semester .

National Hackathon for Cyber Security at Fintech Industry 2022

A round table discussion among the highly distinguished leaders of Public Health in Bangladesh took place in the Daffodil Smart City, organized by the Department of Public Health, Daffodil International University.

Achievements

Two of DIU students, from the Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering who have received an International Student Exchange Program opportunity with full tuition free scholarship to study one semester at Chandigarh University (CU), India which is top ranked in Asia.

Tarek Monowar, a student of the Dept. of Business Administration, DIU achieved a top 5 position at the grand finale of "BrainQuest 2.0," which is an international quiz competition hosted by BIMTECH-Birla Institute of Management Technology , Greater Noida, India.

Daffodil International University is the Second Highest contributor in Scopus Indexed Research Publications 2022.

Md. Rezaul Islam, Golam Kibrea, and Mohammad Borhan Uddin, Students of the Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharm) of Daffodil International University, has been awarded the prestigious NST Fellowship of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST), Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.

Golam Sharoar Saymum, our student of Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering, DIU recently met the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkiye to Bangladesh, Mustafa Osman Turan to exchange views and expertise. Our students are the future contributors to society.

Our Alumni Our Pride

Mamunur Rashid, an alumnus of Daffodil International University's Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, won the “Television Camera Association Award” in the sports category.

Daffodil International University congratulates Mr. Iqbal Shajol for starting his new career at Facebook-Meta as a Software Engineer in Dublin, Ireland. He is a proud alumnus of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Daffodil International University (DIU).

Daffodil Alumni Cell and The Faculty of Business & Entrepreneurship (FBE), Daffodil International University, organized a workshop on "Project Management in Professional and Personal Life"

A short list of Daffodil Alumni among few more hundreds who are contributing in the research and academic fields as the Ph.D. and research Scholars from globally renowned Universities.

Club Activities

Daffodil International University (DIU) Air Rover Scout Group has distributed winter clothes among about 200 extremely poor and destitute families at Mallikpur, Joypurhat District recently.

International Affiliation

Nigeria Bangladesh Business & Technology Forum-NBBTF has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Daffodil International University (DIU).

International Affairs, DIU hosted a ‘Sharing of Experience and Certificate Awarding Ceremony’ for a group of 13 students and 2 faculty members from DIU's Dept. of Journalism and Mass Communication, highlighting their extraordinary experience of a one-week long "International Industry Academia Exposure Program (IIAEP) 2023".

Receiving a thousand dollar scholarship to join the "UMAP Discovery Camp 2023, India : The Future is Now," a team of five DIU students from the Dept. of Business Administration, Dept. of Nutrition and Food Engineering, and Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering left Dhaka to join the program at Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) and KISS - Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences.

To have a global industry-academia experience, a group of 14 students with 2 faculty members from the Dept. of Journalism, Media, and Communication, Daffodil International University, is visiting Adamas University, Kolkata, India , under the program International Industry Academia Exposure Program (IIAEP) 2023.

A group of 6 students and 2 faculty members from the Department of Pharmacy, DIU successfully completed the one-week "Faculty and Student Exchange Program" hosted by Assam down town University, India.
