ORIENTATION FALL 2024

The newly admitted students of Daffodil International University celebrated their orientation day for Fall 2024 at Daffodil Smart City on July 11, 2024. 

Of 42 vibrant clubs, 27 participated to showcase their activities to freshers. DIU clubs offer countless opportunities for students to engage in extracurricular activities, nurture their talents beyond the classroom, and foster leadership and collaboration skills. Various service offices also shared their invaluable services.

ORIENTATION AND INDUCTION FOR TEACHERS: FALL 2024

5-day faculty development training session for newly recruited fall semester teachers by the Human Resource Development Institute of DIU. The workshop covered essential topics such as hybrid teaching, cloud-based tools, AI in education, professional etiquette, time and stress management, personal branding, publishing in Scopus-indexed journals, and DIU's Blended Learning Center.

STUDENT'S WELLBEING INITIATIVE

 

Daffodil International University & Prime Islami Life Insurance Limited supported 40 students facing financial hardship due to a guardian's passing. Each student received 3 lakh taka from a pre-existing insurance plan covering natural death, accidents, and disability. The university expressed its commitment to student well-being through this initiative.

MEMORANDUM BETWEEN DIU & BARI

 

Daffodil International University (DIU) and BARI- Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute have signed a groundbreaking Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)! This partnership aims to advance agricultural research, technology transfer, and innovation.

DIU DISTRIBUTED 1100 PLANTS TO THE BIRULIA UNION COMMUNITY

 

Daffodil International University distributed 1,100 plants to the Birulia Union community as part of our commitment to a greener future. Through the dedicated efforts of the Department of Agricultural Science (DIU), this CSR initiative aims to support community growth and environmental sustainability. Together, we're nurturing a greener, healthier future!

A 15-member delegation from DIU visited Indian partner institutions, KIIT - Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology and KISS - Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences in Odisha. They met with top management to discuss enhancing the decade-long partnership. New initiatives, like the India-Bangladesh Study and Cultural Center (IBSCC) & student exchanges, were highlighted for fostering collaboration.

His Excellency Haji Haris Bin Haji Othman, High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam in Bangladesh, visited Daffodil International University (DIU). He praised DIU's academic partnerships with Brunei universities and its green campus.

14-DAY SWINBURNE'S STUDY TOUR 2024: THE MOBILE AND DIGITAL FILM FESTIVAL IN BANGLADESH

 

As part of the 14-day Swinburne's Study Tour 2024: The Mobile and Digital Film Festival in Bangladesh, the Swinburne University of Technology Australia students enjoyed exploring Dhaka City’s rich culture and heritage by visiting the University of Dhaka, Lalbagh Fort, the National Parliament, and taking a relaxing boat ride at the Turag River.

SWINBURNE UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY STUDENTS WRAP UP MOBILE & DIGITAL STORYTELLING ADVENTURE IN BANGLADESH

 

14-day-long Swinburne's Study Tour 2024 at DIU in Bangladesh concluded with the ‘Project Celebration & Bangladesh-Australia Cultural Night,’ where students showcased their projects through documentary film screening, cultural performances, music, and dances.

Associate Prof. Mohammad Sarwar Mollah and Prof. (Dr.) Fizar Ahmed from Daffodil International University participated in the 8th edition of the International Faculty Development Program (IFDP) 2024 at Chandigarh University to explore mutual collaboration and partnership in academic research and teaching.

Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Honorable Chairman BoT of Daffodil International University, attended JIS University's 4th Convocation Ceremony, emphasizing lifelong learning, adaptability, and global citizenship. A highlight was signing an Agreement of Cooperation with Sardar Taranjit Singh, Honorable Chancellor of JIS University, to promote academic and cultural exchanges.
