DIU is Ranked in World’s Universities with Real Impact (WURI)-2022

The admission test for the Fall 2022 semester was held at Daffodil Smart City, Ashulia, Dhaka for 22 Bachelor's Programs and 12 Master's Programs.

Dr. Mamata Chowdhury, School of Business, Western Sydney University (WSU), Australia, paid a visit to Daffodil International University (DIU) recently, as a partner university. 

The Inauguration Ceremony of Health Informatics Research Lab was held at the Prof. Aminul Islam Conference Hall, Daffodil Smart City, Ashulia.

Aiming to extend mutual cooperation in research, technology, and innovation between DIU and D-8 TTEN, a high-powered delegation team from D-8 Technology Transfer and Exchange Network (D-8 TTEN), IRAN visited Daffodil International University, Daffodil Smart City, Ashulia, Dhaka.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed to extend mutual cooperation in Research, Technology, and Innovation between Daffodil Family, Dhaka Bangladesh, and D-8 Technology Transfer and Exchange Network (D-8 TTEN), Tehran, Iran.

A delegation of Daffodil International University (DIU), Bangladesh led by Dr. Mohamed Emran Hossain, Director (Administration) along with Mr. Syed Raihan-Ul-Islam, Senior Assistant Director, International Affairs, DIU actively attended the 3-day ‘Magna Charta Observatory’ Living Values Project meeting and workshop hosted by Stockholm University, Sweden. 

Three faculty members of Daffodil International University, Professor Dr. Mohammed Shamsul Hoque, Professor Dr. Binoy Barman, Department of English and Professor Dr. Kudrat-E-Khuda Babu, Department of Law are participating as Resource Persons in the "International Faculty Development Program". 

A workshop was held at DIU entitled “What Is Your Conflict Definition in Social Media? Tips & Tricks to Avoid It” on July 25, 2022, organized by International Affairs, DIU in cooperation with the Dept. of Journalism, Media and Communication, DIU.

Dr. Gražina Čiuladienė, Professor and Dr. Miglė Eleonora Černikovaitė, Associate Professor, Institute of Communication, Faculty of Human and Social Studies, Mykolas Romeris University, Lithuania (Exchange Faculty Members of DIU Under EU's Erasmus Scholarship) visited 'Daffodil Agro Project' to explore the variety of fruits and know about the project in person. 

With a view to strong academic exchanges, Daffodil International University (DIU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay), India recently. The MOU was signed virtually in presence of Professor Subhasis Chaudhuri, Honorable Director of IIT Bombay, and Professor Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, Honorable Vice Chancellor of DIU.

 A prestigious seminar entitled “Study in Sweden ” hosted by International Affairs, DIU in cooperation with the Embassy of Sweden in Dhaka and the Swedish Institute Alumni Network in Bangladesh with the support of the Swedish Institute (SI); was held on 28 July 2022 at International Conference Hall, DSC; whereas Mr. Alim Bari, Communication Officer, Embassy of Sweden in Dhaka shared some few insights regarding study in Europe. 

Md Aktaruzzaman Siddique, a student of the Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering, DIU is joining the International Student Exchange Program to study for one semester (Fall-2022) at Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, India which is ranked 1001 in QS Global World Rankings 2022.

Farhana Fardaus Mim, student of the Dept. of English, DIU received International Student Exchange Program opportunity to study for one semester (Fall 2022) at Chandigarh University (CU), India.

Forhad Soohan, Alumnus, Department of Journalism, Media & Communication, Daffodil International University successfully completed e MSc Digital Marketing Programme at Northumbria University, United Kingdom.

Professor Khairul Hafiz, Associate Professor, Graduate School - Norton University, Cambodia, Proud Alumnus, Master of Business Administration (MBA), DIU shared his career secret and expressed his gratitude after visiting the Daffodil International University (DIU), Daffodil Smart City, Ashuila.

Hands-on Training on Fruit Processing and Packaging jointly organized by the Ministry of Commerce, Bangladesh Agro Processors Association (BAPA), and the Department of Nutrition and Food Engineering (NFE) at  Daffodil International University.

Campus Recruitment Program followed by a workshop by Sarah Resort, Fortis Group for the students of the Tourism and Hospitality Management Department of Daffodil International University.

Department Textile Engineering of Daffodil International University (DIU) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with School of Fashion at Wuhan Textile University (WTU), China  in a virtual signing ceremony conducted jointly from DIU in Bangladesh and WTU in China.

The Department of Nutrition and Food Engineering (NFE), DIU signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Human Development Research Center (HDRC).

 Mr. Aftab Hossain, Head of the Department of Journalism, Media and Communication (JMC) of Daffodil International University has conducted a hybrid workshop on 'Social Media: Current Research Trends' at the fifth edition of International Conference on Inclusivity Convergence and Alternative Negotiations, popularly known as ICAN5.

The Department of Environmental Science and Disaster Management (ESDM) and The Department of Real Estate (DRE) jointly conducted a seminar on "Impact of Climate Change on Flooding: Bangladesh and Australia ".
