6284 students have graduated from DIU's 11th Convocation! Honored by the presence of esteemed guests, including the Honourable Minister of Ministry of Education, Bangladesh, Mr. Mohibul Hassan Chowdhury, MP; Professor Dr. Muhammad Alamgir, Chairman (Additional Charge), University Grants Commission of Bangladesh and Dr. Franco Gandolfi, Professor of Leadership, Georgetown University, USA.

On behalf of all the teachers and students, officers and employees of Daffodil International University, teachers, officers, BNCC, Rover Scouts, and students of various clubs laid wreaths at the National Memorial on the Great Independence Day, taking an oath for the prosperity of the country in the spirit of the Liberation War.

A discussion meeting was organized at Daffodil International University on the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children's Day on March 17, 2024 where students are enlightened about the ideal life and patriotism of the father of the nation and are motivated towards patriotism.

Three students from DIU’s Department of Software Engineering and Department of Information Technology and Management started the semester exchange program at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). Both UKM and USM are top institutions in Malaysia, providing student exchange experience to DIU students every semester.

Sadik Hasan from the Department of Journalism, Media, and Communication, DIU 47th batch achievement as the Assistant Director behind 'The Unbreakable Wall,' which clinched the first position among 35 films in the 'Force to Flee' category at the Dhaka International Mobile Film Festival, in collaboration with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR in Bangladesh )

Sarzia Huq and Showrav Das from DIU's Department of Tourism & Hospitality Management and Department of Computer Science & Engineering, respectively received European Erasmus+ KA171 ICM Scholarship for the Spring 2024 Semester, allowing them to study Powiślański University (PU) and Silesian University of Technology (SUT) in Poland.

Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman of Daffodil International University, was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award 2024  by NDF BD (National Debate Federation Bangladesh) for his outstanding contributions to the country's ICT and education sector and special contribution to entrepreneurship development.

A discussion meeting was held at Daffodil International University on the importance and significance of the historic speech of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on 7th March with the presence of the Honorable Treasurer of the University, Dr. Hamidul Haque Khan.

Daffodil International University (DIU) and the Bangladesh Skill Development Institute (BSDI) with the support of the Bangladesh Bank-The Central Bank of Bangladesh, celebrated the Grand Gathering of Global Money Week 2024.
 

Daffodil International University inaugurated a 3 MW solar rooftop power plant under the OPEX model. Esteemed guests, including the Chairman of the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir, and our Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman graced the event. Organized by the EEE department, DIU the ceremony aimed to advocate for the OPEX model's adoption by the Universities of Bangladesh and attract private sector investors for this.

Daffodil International University conducted a Fire Extinguisher Training session to enhance campus safety. The aim was to equip administrative staff with fire-fighting skills and raise awareness about fire risk situations.

Daffodil International University (DIU) in Bangladesh and Techno India University (TIU) in India signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on 13 March, to enhance academic cooperation in the area of setting up Indo-Bangla Fellowship Program, merging cultural heritage with technology, student, faculty and startup exchanges.

Human Resource Development Institute has arranged a faculty training session on Excellence in Educational Leadership. In this session,  visiting Professor Dr. Franco Gandolfi discussed the importance of educational leadership in the 21st century, especially in the post-pandemic era. 

Masterclass on "Employability360 Learning to Leading: A Journey to Confident Career Growth" - Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman of Daffodil International University, imparts invaluable insights to DIU students. From setting career targets to leveraging technology and AI, his guidance is a cornerstone for student success.

DIU proudly presents the Daffodil International University Research and Higher Study Society-DIURHS to cultivate a vibrant research and academic culture. DIU aims to increase student participation, high-quality research publications, innovative problem-solving, and establish DIU as a research leader.

Daffodil International University (DIU) became one of the first Bangladeshi universities to sign an agreement with Nottingham Trent University (UK). This agreement enables academic, research, and faculty/student exchange programs. The Chairman of DIU, Sabur Khan & NTU's Vice Chancellor Prof Edward Peck, also Mansfield Mayor Andy Abrahams formalized the partnership.

Daffodil International University celebrated Green Fest: Youthful Roots: Planting Harmony for Tomorrow where Kha Ma Harun, Country Director of Pathshala South Asian Media Institute, and Mehreen, President of WFWP Bangladesh celebrated along with the Honorable Chairman Sabur Khan & VC of DIU along with the Student Ambassadors of the initiative were present.

Mr. Mamunur Rahman, the Founder of Ella Pad, shared his insights at the event "Youthpreneurship: Empowering the Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow," organized by the Faculty of Business and Entrepreneurship at Daffodil International University. 

Charles Sturt University (CSU), Australia, and Daffodil International University (DIU), Bangladesh signed a new partnership agreement on March 11, 2024, at CSU's campus in North Sydney.

Three DIU students from different departments, Joya Saha, Nusrat Jahan Tonny & Konok Karmakar participated in the Bangladesh Youth Delegation to India 2024 being a part of 100 youths of Bangladesh, fully funded by the Government of India and hosted by The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, India. 

A team of 4 students from Daffodil International University (DIU), Bangladesh, joined the VIT Riviera Students Cultural Fest 2024 at Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, India. This team from the DIU Cultural Club performed Bangladeshi traditional dances in the Infusion 6.0 section, exhibited through the festival, and engaged in cultural exchange among diverse communities. 

Dr. Ehatasham Ul Hoque Eiten, Assistant Professor & Head, Department of English, DIU recently took part in the Erasmus+ KA171 ICM Project's Staff Exchange Program at UCAM Universidad Católica de Murcia in Spain from Feb 26 to Mar 1, 2024.

Three of our DIU students attended the 2nd ASECU Youth Winter School 2024, a week-long program from 21-26 March, organized by the Association of Economic Universities of South and Eastern Europe and the Black Sea Region (ASECU) and ASECU Youth at Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce, Poland.

His Excellency Park Young Sik, Ambassador of Korea to Bangladesh visited Daffodil International University (DIU) today and spoke as the Chief Guest at a seminar titled "Contemporary Korea Democracy Korea: Democracy, Economic Peace and Security"  under the "Ambassador O'clock’' program.

A delegation from Centurion University of Technology & Management (CUTM), India visited our campus from March 15th to 19th, 2024. The delegation, led by Prof D N Rao, Managing Trustee and Vice President, included esteemed members such as Mrs. Padma Dechiraju, Prof. Anita Patra, Registrar, and Mr. Babu Shankar, Managing Director of Gramtarang Technologies Private Limited (a sister concern of CUTM).

Under the Erasmus+ fully funded Faculty Exchange Program, Eng. Andrzej Wilk, PhD, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Energy and Environmental Engineering, Silesian University of Technology (SUT), Poland was teaching at DIU’s Department of Environmental Science and Disaster Management as well as the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering for a week from 24 to 28 February 2024.

We're thrilled to reminisce about the insightful symposium on Corporate Leadership led by Professor Franco Gandolfi, Professor of Leadership at Georgetown University, USA, and Visiting Professor of FBE, DIU. He shared profound insights into the essential attributes required for success in Corporate Leadership, including risk-taking, problem-solving, and resilience.

The Faculty of Business and Entrepreneurship (FBE), DIU collaborated with Universiti Teknologi Mara, Malaysia (UiTM) . DIU hosted delegates from UiTM, Malaysia, initiating a significant research partnership. Led by Dr. Nor Balkish Zakaria and Dr. Muhammad Nazmul Hoque, the visit highlighted mutual commitment to six research projects.

Students of the Department of Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Daffodil University visited Xclusive Can Limited as part of the regular Industry Visit activities of the Department.

On 28th February, our Department of Agricultural Science, DIU embarked on a hands-on field trip, involving faculty, coordination officers, lab officers, and students. The day was dedicated to practical learning about orchard establishment, management, and the art of sapling planting

E-Business Fest 2.0 at DIU was organized by the Department of Business Studies, DIU & DIU e-Business Club , this event was a blend of insightful talks, cultural performances, and networking.

Tourism & Hospitality Management, DIU joined hands with Tourist Police, Bangladesh for an enlightening Student Tourist Security session. Over 200 students & faculty members attended, learning about safety measures and Tourist Police services.

Students of the Department of Agricultural Science, DIU are delighted to get hands-on training on harvesting and the post-harvest processing of potatoes at the Agricultural Field Lab-1 (Malta Garden).

DIU Cricket Team achieved the Runner-Up position in the ULAB Fair Play Cup 2024.
