Daffodil International University & BD Finance introduces ‘Edu-Finance’ for the financially Challenged students

For the first time in Bangladesh “Daffodil International University has taken an initiative of ‘Edu-Finane’ aiming to assist such promising students who are dedicated and ambitious about continuing their higher studies but in need of financial support. DIU believes that the utmost dedication and perseverance of the young students can bring the change we wish to make That’s why DIU would like to offer young students an opportunity of ‘Edu-Loan’ to study by securing loans with the help of Bangladesh Finance and Investment Company Ltd. (BD Finance). Edu-Loan can provide financially challenged students a platform to forge ahead and realize their passion.

The English Speaking Union of Bangladesh organized ''International Public Speaking Competition-2018'' on 3 March 2018 at 71 Milonayoton of Daffodil International University. Afra Nawar, a student of Bangladesh International School & College became champion while Ahmad Tazwar Rafid, student of Jhinedah Cadet College became runner-up in the national level competition. Becoming champion in national level, Afra Nawar will get the opportunity to compete in ''International Public Speaking Competition’ final round which will be held in London, UK.

To encourage the researchers, Daffodil International University organized “Research Award Giving Ceremony 2018” on 27th February 2018 at 71 Milonayoton of the university. Prof. Dr. Dil Afroza Begum, honorable member from University Grants Commission of Bangladesh (UGC) was present as the chief guest in the program. Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University was present as the guest of Honour, while Prof. Dr. Yousuf M. Islam, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. S.M. Mahbub Ul Haque Majumder, Pro Vice Chancellor, attended as special guest in the program. The Program was conducted by Prof. Dr. Kabirul Islam, Director of Research of Daffodil International University.

Daffodil ICT Carnival 2018 Award Night held today on March 11, 2018 at Green Garden Restaurant at the Permanent Campus of Daffodil International University (DIU).

“DIU Reading Competition 2018” has got the start at Daffodil International University (DIU) with a view to stimulating the habit of reading books among the students as well as to create a reading culture in the university. The competition has begun with the slogan “Reading for a Meaningful Life and Career” on 18 February 2018 at the Banquet Hall of Daffodil Tower of the university.

Dyeing, Printing & Finishing Ltd. in BSCIC Industrial Estate, Narayangonj recently under the supervision of Mr. Md. Masud Raihan, Lecturer, Department of Textile Engineering.

Golam Mowla Choudhury, Controller of Examination of Daffodil International University donated 106 books of Engineering Department’s of Honors and Masters level courses to DIU Library on February 19, 2018. He donated these books handing over to Honorable Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Yousuf M islam at his office.
